Learn how to break into the music industry at event hosted by broadcaster and DJ Tiffany Calver

giffgaff x LOOSE.fm presents industries: Your Way In, a candid panel talk and networking event at Forum, Greenwich Peninsula, London, on 1st October

Want to work in music but not sure where you fit or how to get started? Industries: Your Way In brings together ambitious emerging talent, with people already building careers across the industry for an evening of honest conversation, practical advice and purposeful networking.

Taking place at Forum, Design District London, on 1st October, one of the most influential tastemakers in British music today, Broadcaster, DJ and founder of No Requests, Tiffany Calver, will host an evening of candid discussion with panellists from the music industry.

Created by giffgaff and Loose FM, and supported by EATS., the event is designed to connect ambitious people with the insight, experiences and relationships that can help turn a passion into real opportunities.

Tiffany will be joined by artist and former TikTok’s UK Head of Partnerships, Toyin Mustapha, and A&R Director, Komali Scott-Jones, an advocate for connecting, and empowering Black professionals and women of color across the music industry.

The panel conversation will explore the breadth of careers that make music happen. From production, management and radio to live events, marketing, content, creative and commercial roles. You can expect:

  • Honest stories from people working across music, including how the panellists found their own way in, the lessons they learned and the realities people rarely talk about

  • Insight into different roles and routes through the industry

  • Practical advice you can use to plan your next step

  • Audience questions answered by the panel

  • An opportunity to meet speakers and connect with others building their future in music

On hosting the event, Tiffany Calver said: "When I was first starting out, it was incredibly difficult to get my foot in the door. The opportunities that changed my life always came from putting myself out there and never being afraid to ask questions, especially to people generous enough to pay the knowledge they had forward.

That's exactly why I wanted to be part of Industries: Your Way In. There isn't one path into the music space, there isn't a blueprint you can copy line for line...everyone's story looks different. I've built a career on doing it my own way, and if hearing how that actually happened, messy bits included, gives someone the confidence to make their next move, then perfect!”
